Drop Troop
A downloadable game
"Three hundred years after launch, crew and colonists awake to what was supposed to be their new home – a new world. Instead, only fire and debris greet them. There is no communication with Earth. The colonists fall into despair, their future bleak.
Driven by the will to survive and provide for the next generation, the colonists improvise. They create new homes in the detritus left by the dying planet. The work is hard. Some die. Soon, though, the survivors have the beginning of a home. A new start. Hope.
Even the colonists’ shared adversity can’t tamp the embers of old Earth's divisions. Factions form. Fighting breaks out in the asteroid colonies. Precious vessels and resources are scattered throughout the alien solar system. Power corrupts. New alliances form, then shatter.
Eighty years pass. The grandchildren of the original colonists fight battles over resources, lost technology, and forgotten outposts. Gone are the wars of the past. The new generation conserves their resources and bides their time – until opportunity arises.
You are the commander of an elite task force of warriors. You grew up in the resource constrained settlements of your people, forged by a hard life. Your mission is to locate and collect resources and tech so your people can survive.
But others seek the same goal, and the void is fraught with dangers. Will you succeed and achieve glory amongst your people? Or will you be just another one of the countless dead forgotten in the black?"
